Sherry Patricia (Karl) Cornell was Born July 19, 1941 in Milford, Connecticut. She Passed away January 14, 2019 in Valencia, California. Sherry is preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Sally Karl; her husband, Charles Thomas Cornell, Sr. and her son, Tomm “Chip” Cornell.
She is survived by her daughter, Karla (Jason) Crawford of Valencia, CA and her grandchildren, Isaiah, Romaya and Charlien; Her older brother, Dale (Anita) Karl; Younger brother Bill (Alice) Karl; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and beloved friends all across the country.
Sherry moved to Cheyenne from Connecticut in 1968. She married Charlie Cornell in 1969. Charlie was an Officer with the Cheyenne Police Department. Sherry was a Pharmacist .
Sherry was a member of Beta Sigma Phi for over 50 years. She served as Chairman for the 25th Annual Sweetheart Ball, and chaired or was a member of several State Convention Committees. In 1984 Charlie, Sherry and the kids moved to Tampa, Florida. In 1986 they moved to Cocoa Beach. While in Florida, Sherry joined a few different Beta Sigma Phi Chapters. She held many offices in Beta and made life long friends. She served as Chapter President, City Council President, and was named “Woman of the Year” at least four times.
A Graduate of Fordham University and originally employed with Cornell Medical Center, Sherry went on to be a Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist in Charge for countless Pharmacies in Cheyenne, Florida and Arizona over a more than 50 year period. She loved her job.
Her customers and people she worked with treasured her as their Pharmacist. She found the positive in any given situation and her exuberance and humor brightened any room she entered.
